Issues importing Panasonic HC-VX870K 4K MP4 to Sony Movie Studio 13

However, when you want to import Panasonic HC-VX870 AVCHD MTS files to Sony Movie Studio 13 for further editing, you will encounter some issues. Found from feedback of Panasonic HC-VX870 users, following is a sample about HC-VX870 and Sony Movie Studio 13 import issues.

"I recently bought Movie Studio Platinum 13 as a step up from Adobe Premiere Elements 11. I'm liking it so far BUT I can't import .mp4 files that I recorded by Panasonic HC-VX870K. I've searched around this forum and tried a few fixes but nothing has worked. I've tried some different file extensions, updated my quicktime, and installed the x264vfw codec. This is really a big problem for me. "

MP4 as the most popular video format, is widely used. You may get lots of MP4 files no matter captured by cameras like Panasonic HC-VX870K or downloaded from online. However, many users meet the problems while importing 4K MP4 to Sony Movie Studio for further editing.

According to the Sony's official website, Sony Movie Studio can support MPEG-4 format, but due to the codec issue, Sony Movie Studio might not work with 4K MP4 files. You need to find another way to perform the task. As we all know, the most compatible video codec for Sony Movie Studio is MPEG-2, then transocoding Panasonic HC-VX870K 4K MP4 files to MPEG-2 with a third party program is an easy way to edit MP4 videos in Sony Movie Studio.

Luckily, I got Pavtube Video Converter for Mac(read the review), an excellent Panasonic video converter that can convert and merge Panasonic HC-VX870 4K MP4 videos to ProRes MOV on the latest El Capitan. What's more, this powerful 4K MP4 camera video to Sony Movie Studio 13 Converter, which not only can convert 4k MP4 from Panasonic HC-VX870K for Sony Movie Studio 13 easily, but also export DNxHD for Avid, MPEG-2 for Premiere Pro, Apple InterMediate Codec for iMovie and more NLE systems with the optimal preset profiles for native editing.

The trail-before-purchase is supported, just feel free to try it:
